Global Impact Day One: CURE International

Today, on Karl and Crew, we partnered with CURE International to raise support for life-changing surgery and Christ-centered care for children worldwide living with treatable disabilities. CURE International is a nonprofit organization that collaborates with local churches and healthcare systems to deliver medical care and share the love of Christ with children living with disabilities. You can partner with us in aiding surgical care for children with the suggested giving levels:

  • $100 covers medicines and supplies
  • $250 helps provide a surgery
  • $1,500 funds an entire surgery

The following guests joined us to talk about the impact and need of CURE International:

  • Brant Hansen is a bestselling author, podcaster, and syndicated radio host. He is also an advocate for healing children with correctable disabilities through CURE International Children’s Hospitals, a global pediatric surgical network.
  • Grace Mangwende is the Spiritual Director for CURE in Zimbabwe. She coordinates the hospital’s spiritual programs, chapel services, staff devotionals, ministry outreach to patients, volunteers, and community outreach programs.
  • Dr. Joseph Stowell is a CURE International Board Member. He is also the former President of Moody Bible Institute.
  • Justin Narducci is the CURE International President and CEO.

You can give by clicking the CURE banner at moodyradio.org, calling #250 and saying “Help Kids Heal”,  or by calling 833-731-2319.

We Will Not Be Silenced: Conversations with Dr. Erwin Lutzer and Dr. Jim Coakley

Today, on Karl and Crew, we kicked off our weekly theme, “We Will Not Be Silenced,” with discussions about standing firmly on our faith. We then had Dr. Erwin Lutzer join us to discuss how believers stand up for their faith in today’s counterculture world. Dr. Lutzer is Pastor Emeritus of Moody Church. He is a clear expositor of the Bible and is featured on two radio programs: Running to Win and Songs in the Night. We then had Dr. Jim Coakley join us to discuss the church’s commitment to Jesus, despite the influence of political or governmental forces. He also shared about an upcoming trip he will be leading in Turkey and Greece from March 4th to 17th, 2026. Dr. Jim Coakley is a Professor of Bible at Moody Bible Institute. He is a current elder with 180 Chicago and a former Senior Pastor. He is also a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. We then turned to the phone lines to ask our listeners the question: “What words did you hear that the Spirit of God used to save your soul?”  You can listen to the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.
