Have you ever noticed how some people seem to attract mosquitoes no matter what? They’re like mosquito magnets, while others stay completely untouched. Maybe those lucky ones use repellents or avoid mosquito-filled places, but it could also come down to genetics, the bacteria on their skin, or other factors that affect their scent.
Similarly, the way we live and the attitude of our hearts can either draw us closer to God’s grace or push it away. A humble heart welcomes His favor, while pride shuts the door, relying on its own strength. The challenge is that we often try to earn God’s approval through our efforts, but grace isn’t earned; it’s a free gift.
Here are four ways to open yourself to more of God’s grace:
Bold Challenge:
This week, reflect on your heart’s posture. Are you standing proudly in your own strength, or are you willing to come under God’s authority, draw near to Him, repent honestly, and humble yourself? Choose to be a grace-attractor and watch how God’s favor and peace fill your life in new ways.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to let go of my pride and submit fully to You. Draw me closer each day, cleanse my heart, and teach me to walk humbly with You. May I live as one who attracts Your grace and reflects Your love. Amen.
I’m sensing a quiet stirring among young adults searching for meaning and peace. At New Life Community Church, we’ve baptized over 1,000 people in just two years, many encountering Jesus personally, beyond religion. This isn’t just happening here in Chicago; young adults across the US and the UK are growing spiritually with renewed hunger for Bible reading, prayer, and openness like I haven’t seen in decades.
Revival often begins quietly with hunger, prayer, and obedience. Let’s not miss this moment. I’m calling all of us to repent, fast, pray, and boldly share Jesus. Set your sail—God is on the move!
