If you've ever wondered whether God has a specific purpose for your life, the answer is yes. But here's the catch: God’s purpose doesn’t always come with a neon sign or a perfectly mapped-out path. More often, it’s discovered in everyday moments of obedience and the quiet, ordinary choices we make.
In Ephesians 3, Paul speaks about a divine “mystery”—something once hidden but now revealed through Christ. Part of that mystery is this: You’ve been called. It’s not just for pastors, missionaries, or those who seem especially spiritual. God calls everyone. The challenge is that not everyone recognizes it or responds.
Paul himself was under house arrest when he wrote the book of Ephesians. He didn’t end up there because he did something wrong but because he said yes to a message that the world found offensive. Following God’s call doesn’t mean the journey will be easy or without sacrifice. It often comes at a great cost, but it also brings deep purpose. Your calling isn’t something you can earn; it’s a gift of grace, given by God, fueled by His Spirit, and meant to be lived out in community with others. Even when you feel unworthy or are struggling, God’s gifts remain active in you, ready to fulfill His purpose.
As you uncover your mission, ask yourself: What has God revealed to me that I need to steward? Where has He given me grace and strength beyond my own abilities? How am I using my gifts within the body of Christ—on the field, not just on the sidelines? Friend, you were made for more than just watching others live out their calling. It’s time to step into yours with boldness and confidence. Let’s stop spectating and start living out the mission God has prepared for us.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the purpose You’ve placed on my life. I am humbled and grateful that You have called me, equipped me, and given me grace to fulfill Your mission. Help me to recognize the opportunities You’ve placed before me and give me the courage to step boldly into the calling You have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
In 2022, Bold Steps expanded into Africa through a partnership with FEBC, airing twice daily on Litala FM in Malawi and reaching into Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zambia. Since then, we've received incredible feedback—especially from the Yao Muslim community in Malawi where one young man shared how the program opened his heart to Jesus (see below).
Through the distribution of free radios and the growth of listening groups in rural areas, over 10,000 listener clubs have formed. These gatherings, often 10–15 people strong, are igniting fresh interest in the gospel across the region. What began as a single broadcast is now a growing movement of hope and transformation!
Mr Announcer, I am very happy to say that I have indeed benefit from listening to the English program, which you air via Litala FM Radio. Indeed, this program has helped me personally for I was living without Christ, and I was shameful to myself. However, the coming in of this program really has brought me a new life in my heart. Therefore, I am very thankful for introducing this lovely program to us. Your listener, Majamanda Mdoka - Mozambique
