Would you like to join the team at WDLM?

We’re looking for the ideal team player. We want someone interested in helping listeners take their next steps in their walk with Jesus Christ. If you’re quick to share credit, emphasize team over self, are looking to learn and do more, and know how to interact with others in effective ways, we need to talk. We invite you to look at our openings and apply if you think you’re a fit. Here’s what’s open:

Morning Show Host (Full Time with Benefits)

We need a “driver” to lead our daily morning show. You’ll be expected to complement our “reactor” co-host and, between the two of you, bring out the best in each other. You bring interesting conversation on a variety of topics that, 80% of the time, helps listeners take their next steps in their walk with Christ. You’ll then work with the morning team to plan out the best platforms (on-air, social media, podcast), talking points, and potential guests, to help address those topics. You interject fun, humor, and energy into the show but also know when to be serious, compassionate, and straightforward. The majority of our listeners reside on social media, so an active social media presence is preferred.

Technical Producer (Part Time – 28 Hours Per Week)

This role is the third wheel of the morning show. Your responsibilities are mostly behind the scenes where you operate our digital audio console and navigate our automation software. You make occasional appearances during the morning show but are certainly not in the spotlight. Rather, you add value to the on-air conversation with your timely use of music beds, sound effects, and listener calls, as well as your ability to make changes to upcoming on-air elements on the fly. When the show is over, you help plan the next day’s show with your suggestions for conversation topics and guests and, when necessary, providing complimentary pieces of audio for those topics.
