The Sarasota Prayer Breakfast is a way for us to come together in unity and fellowship to pray for our leaders. We gave thanks for God’s many gifts to us; namely Jesus, our families, our friends and this marvelous community in which we live. This is a community gathering meeting in the spirit of Jesus of Nazareth. People of all faiths are invited to attend. The program consists of several presentations by community leaders such as reading scriptures and leading prayers. There is a musical performance and an opportunity to fellowship over a meal.
January 8th, 2026, marked the 70th anniversary of the "Auca" spearing of 5 missionaries in the jungles of Ecuador. That also means 2026 is the 70th anniversary of when that same tribe, now known as Waorani, or the people , put down their spears to, “Walk God's trail.” Four generations later, this now peaceful family is asking the world to do the same! Join us for the 2026 Sarasota Prayer Breakfast on February 24th at Robarts Arena to hear this message of peace personally through our keynote speaker, INEHUE NENQUIMO, the great grandson of former tribal warrior MINCAYE.
Get tickets, tables, and the answers to your questions at: info@SarasotaPrayerBreakfast.com To find out more about the tribe’s local connection, contact Rev. Tim and Jan (Hamel) Solomon at siestakeysailing@gmail.com or 941-346-7245 Let’s learn to live peacefully in the future through this powerful story of the past!
