Living a LegacyIn 2014, CityHouse was established with a clear vision of providing long-term, transformational assistance to mothers and their children. Unlike other organizations that focus only on children, CityHouse recognizes the importance of the family unit. On Monday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Laura Barr, Development Director for CityHouse shares how since their modest beginnings, they have remained committed to their core mission of providing hope, assistance, and care to families facing adversity. Laura will also talk about their upcoming "Seaside Soiree", with dining, music, and silent auction, all dedicated to a noble cause.

Laura Barr is a native Floridian from the Space Coast. She spent time abroad as a short-term missionary in Africa and graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. She is married with three beautiful children and lives in Delray Beach. Her career in the serving Boca community started as the Community Care Manager at Chick-fil-A Town Center and West Boca for six years while serving on the School Board for Spanish River Christian School and the Board of Directors for CityHouse, Inc. In 2023 Laura joined the staff at CityHouse as the Development Director to build long-term revenue streams for the growth and expansion of CityHouse’s mission to serve single mothers and their children experiencing homelessness in our community.
Kat Shultis lives in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, with her husband, Casey, and their son. Their company, HeWouldLoveFirst.com, answers the question What Would Jesus Do? She leads a ministry called Be a Blessing to help girls with body image and disordered eating habits and shares encouragement online for women with various struggles she has walked through as well.
