Living on the EdgeUp Next
Praise & Worship ChannelMost of us know the right things to do with finances. We know we need to live within a budget, prioritize giving and saving, and avoid debt...so why is there so often a gap between our knowledge and our actions? Could it be that it's not really about money at all? Tuesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Callie Picardo joins us to talk about a new book she and her husband co-authored that paves the way to financial freedom through reflection and Biblical guidance. It shows us how God can transform our financial patterns at the root by healing the deepest parts of our heart and soul.
Are we looking mostly to please God or ourselves? The myth of Narcissus describes a young man who dies because he falls in love with his own reflection. When we are surrounded by messages of contemporary society like "you've got to believe in yourself!" we need to listen to a Bible teacher from a past age who can drag us back to reflecting less on ourselves and more on God. Tuesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, our new teaching pastor, Dr. Josh Moody calls us to listen to Edwards in order that we might stop living for ourselves and start living "the God-centered life."
Callie Picardo has spent her career working in finance and charitable giving. She currently serves as Vice President for Development at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. She views fundraising as ministry, regularly caring for and praying with donors. In 2011, she founded Deep Roots Financial Coaching, a business that helps individuals, families and churches align their finances with God’s word.
