Power WalkCulture is doing its best to convince the world there is nothing special about Jesus, and compounding this is the failure of most churches to grow their followers' faith beyond a Sunday school understanding. On Friday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, New Testament Scholar, Dr. Jeremiah Johnston looks at the 7 best reasons to believe in the resurrection of Jesus--and why it matters today. In his new 4-session bible study book, Body of Proof, Jeremiah Johnston sets out to show why Jesus' victory over death is central to a believer's faith.
What's so Good about Good Friday? When we think about commemorating a day remembering Jesus's suffering and death on the cross, why do we call it "Good?" On Friday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Pastor Jimmy Scroggins of Family Church Radio tackles this topic during Holy Week. For the gospel's good news to have meaning for us, we first have to understand the bad news of our condition as sinful people. The wrath of God against sin had to be poured out on Jesus, the perfect sacrificial substitute, for forgiveness and salvation to be poured out to redeem the world from bondage.
You've heard the story more times than you can count. The arrest of Jesus. The trials before the judges. The passion. And of course, the resurrection. A story like that can never grow old--but it can become so familiar that you miss the parts that are right before your eyes. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author Daniel Darling joins us to take a new look at the people and circumstances that were part of the greatest story ever told. Let The Characters of Easter lead your soul to rejoice with that ancient cry, "He is risen indeed!"
