A recent campaign released in the culture used the slogan, "Jesus gets us". Scripture reveals that Jesus took on human nature so that he could "empathize with our weakness" (Heb. 4:15). He became human to become a sacrifice for our sins (1 John 2:2, 4:10). Sin demands a remedy far stronger than sympathy. Jesus is "the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world--He was born to die. (Rev. 13:8).
