Hour 1: Identity

Join Dawn and Steve in the Morning for a devotional from Blackaby Ministries International about facing failure and God's grace!

Dawn and Steve also welcome Phil Herndon from Tin Man Ministries to the studio. Phil will help us unpack a proper image of God, a healthy self identity, and our identity in Christ.

Phil uses a dynamic approach to help his clients recover their hearts and redeem their stories. His therapeutic approach is grounded in the Spiritual Root System.™ He also integrates perspectives from Judeo-Christian traditions, and pastoral care. Phil works with individuals who have lost their way through addiction, anxiety, depression, struggles with spirituality, or burnout to walk them through the tumultuous and scary times that are so common to the human experience. He served as a pastor in Texas for 15 years until joining the Center for Professional Excellence in 2005 where he served as Clinical Director until 2020. Phil became the Clinical Director and co-owner of (what is now) River Tree in 2020 and loves his role in developing, encouraging, and equipping the staff as they walk with people through their life journeys.

Hour 2: Is God Real?

How do science, history, and philosophy point powerfully toward the truth of Christianity? Dawn and Steve welcome Lee Strobel, author of The Case for Christ, to talk about his new book Is God Real?

Atheist-turned-Christian Lee Strobel, the former award-winning legal editor of The Chicago Tribune, is a New York Times best-selling author of more than forty books and curricula that have sold fourteen million copies in total. He currently serves as Founding Director of the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics at Colorado Christian University.

Hour 3: Land of My Sojourn

Dawn and Steve welcome Mike Cosper to share his journey and book Land of My Sojourn: The Landscape of a Faith Lost and Found.

Mike is a Louisville-based writer and podcaster focused on faith and culture. He produced and hosted The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill and also created and hosted Cultivated: A podcast about faith and work. Mike has written four books and many articles. In 2001, he launched Sojourn Music and led it until 2015, producing a series of albums and original music and retuned hymns.
