Hour 1: Examine All Things

Amid all the hearts and flowers of romance and the prospect of marriage, how many couples take a serious look at how they will manage their money? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we introduced you to a husband, who along with his wife faced some serious challenges when it came to finances in their marriage. Our guest shared with us 7 key strategies to help couples find solutions to their money conflicts so that they can come back together and honor the Lord with what He has provided. Snips and snails and puppy dog tails or sugar and spice and everything nice, is it possible that at one time telling a boy from a girl was just that simple? We live in a time where agendas have taken the simple beauty of a God-given sexual identity and turned it on its head or even more to the point rejected it outright by a large portion of our society. Instead, young impressionable children are being led astray into gender confusion. Our guests came together to address the slippery slope that so many schools are putting kids on and the high permanent costs they will pay for the damage done to them. Turning to God’s word they laid out what normal, natural child development looks like and gave parents practical guidance to help them help their own children through the sexually misguided teachings of our day, coming into the full beauty of who God created them to be. We gave you and insider peak into the subtle way that people, even believers can get trapped into occultic practices. Our guest a Christian who was also a former new age witch, shared her eye-opening personal story of how she straddled both worlds for a while in her life, what led her down deeper into this deception and what it took for her to turn and rebuild her life with the Lord. She also gave us some timely warnings about the spiritual hunger in kids today and how tarot cards and other forms of divination are being used to provide a quick but false fix to the need that only God can truly satisfy. Marriage is a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be a war zone. There are ways to address and navigate the inevitable conflicts that arise and our guest, a respected psychologist, shared some of the most valuable ones with us. These changes can not only solve the immediate problems but are also steppingstones to building a strong marriage that can weather any future storms. Looking around us the ground seems to be so unstable in the world today.  But Janet and Craig are back once again to reassure us that God who made the world is still in command of it by continuing to teach us how to discern and understand our times us His unchanging truth as our guide.

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we tackled the growing acceptance of the gay lifestyle as a dear friend to the program helped us understand how even in Christian circles the acceptance of same-sex relationships has infiltrated and caused rifts. He talked about a popular television couple whose inclusion of a same-sex couple on their new show has caused an uproar. He also warned us the challenges facing the church over this issue as the so-called “gay gospel” gains more and more acceptance. Contrary to what many of us have accepted as fact regarding the history of this continent, there were generations of people who populated this land long before the Pilgrims arrived from Europe.  We spoke with a biologist who used DNA comparison research to uncover the true history of the indigenous people who once populated this land. He uncovered for us the origins of these people are their incredible journey to travel to this land and make their homes here.  Have you ever longed for a deeper walk with the Lord? Our guest took us on a journey of exploration and understanding as she explained what biblical rest is really all about and how we can draw closer to the Lord through it. One of the biggest challenges in sharing the gospel with Jewish people is that the Jesus of the New Testament is indeed the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies about a coming Messiah. We spoke to a Messianic follower of Jesus who has spent his life leading his people to their Messiah. He opened up God’s word to show how in every instance Jesus IS the fulfillment of all the prophecies. His insights gave us practical guidance for sharing this good news with our Jewish friends and neighbors. Keeping up with the news today can be like drinking from a fire hose, there is just so much and so much that can easily confuse and mislead us.
