Hour 2: Middle East Conflict Through Biblical Lens
As the war in the Middle East continues, we visit with 2 people today who are viewing the news through the lens of Scripture. We will visit with Lana Silk, CEO of Transform Iran, who was born in Iran on the day of the Islamic Revolution and later fled with her family due to persecution. Lana’s family formed Transform Iran as a ministry to the Iranian diaspora, which has now grown to include a dynamic ministry to an extensive network of underground churches inside Iran. Then Al Fadi will join us to explain the “theology” of the Iranian regime and why we need to understand Islam as both a religion and a political system. Get ready to think biblically about the world around us.

Cara Shine
Cara Shine is an author, speaker, and award-winning elementary school teacher with a surprising testimony of finding Jesus in the midst of chaos and fear. Raised in the Jewish faith, Cara spent much of her early life feeling judged by the Christians around her. But everything changed in the fall of 2002, during the infamous D.C. sniper attacks. What followed was what she calls a “holy ripple effect” that transformed her life, her faith, and her purpose. She is passionate about “building bridges” between the Old and New Testament, anxiety management, and encouraging others to, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39
Lana Silk
Lana Silk, serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Transform Iran, where she is committed to bringing freedom and lasting transformation to the people of Iran through ministry and humanitarian aid. Raised in Iran, she later moved to the UK, earning an honors degree in Computer Engineering along with graduate studies in Marketing Communication Strategy and Mental Health and Safeguarding in Youth. After 20 years of developing her expertise as a communicator and strategist, she stepped into full-time ministry. Silk’s passion remains to see the Body of Christ walking in their full identity and inheritance, living lives of supernatural power and authority, engaged in global missions. Today, in her role as President and CEO, Lana is focused on the day when she will see God’s purposes fulfilled in Iran – the land that still has her heart. She considers it her life calling to advocate for the people of Iran and help resource and strengthen the fast-growing underground Church in Iran.
Al Fadi
Al Fadi is a former Wahhabi Muslim from Saudi Arabia. He is the researcher, editor, writer, and translator for numerous ministries, including "Answering Islam," "Desiring God," and "JesusOnLine." Al is the founder and director of The Center for Islamic Research & Awareness (CIRA) with a focus on bringing awareness regarding Islam, building bridges with Muslims, training believers to reach Muslims for Christ and to provide expert opinion on issues related to political Islam and Sharia Law. He is a co-editor, co-author and contributor of "The Qur'an Dilemma" (English Book – Vol. 1) - a critical analysis book of the Qur'an.
