As we begin our own Thanksgiving preparations, we visit with Rod Gragg, an award-winning journalist, historian, and author, who will reveal little-known facts and firsthand accounts of the compelling drama that culminated in the first Thanksgiving!
Hour 2: Then Sings My Soul
Each week, millions of Christians around the world use hymns composed by believers from every era and branch of Christianity to join voices in praise—singing psalms and hymns and making melody in their hearts to praise the Lord. Robert Morgan will reacquaint us with some beloved hymns of the faithful. He will share stories that show the emotion and drama behind the hymns of faith that have changed many lives throughout history—from the people whose faith led them to write these wonderful hymns to the people whose faith was affected by reading, hearing, and singing them.

Rod Gragg
Rodd Gragg is the Director of the Center for Military and Veterans Studies at Coastal Carolina University. He is a military historian and the author of more than 20 books on historical topics. Gragg's work on the Battle of Gettysburg, Covered With Glory, won the James I. Robertson Award as the best Civil War book of the year, and his history of the Battle of Fort Fisher, Confederate Goliath, earned the Fletcher Pratt Award for Civil War History from the New York City Civil War Round Table. He is a former scholarship recipient of the U.S. Army Military History Institute, has served as an adjunct professor of history and ROTC history instructor at Coastal Carolina University, and is the host and producer of “Military Memoirs,” a regional television program featuring oral history interviews with American veterans.
Robert Morgan
Robert J. Morgan is the full time leader of Robert J. Morgan Ministries, a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose goal is to energize God’s people with a greater understanding and appreciation of the Bible and Christian heritage. Preceding this transition, Rob was involved in pastoral ministry for over 40 years in Nashville Tennessee. He is a best-selling, gold-Illuminations, and gold-medallion winning writer with more than 35 books in print and approximately 5 million copies in circulation in multiple languages. Rob has appeared on numerous television and radio shows. He speaks widely at churches, conferences, schools, and corporate events. Robert was also a homemaker and a caregiver for his late wife of 43 years, Katrina, who battled multiple sclerosis and passed away in November of 2019. He and Katrina have three daughters and sixteen grandchildren. In 2014, Morgan was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from his alma mater, Columbia International University.
