The news never stops and neither does our need to weigh it against the clear and unbiased scale of scripture. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we told you about efforts to prevent Islamic sharia law from taking root in this country like it has in the U.K. Also in the U.K., we told you about a new law that send Christian preachers to prison for 2 years and how free speech is being cut off in Canada. Progressive Christianity continues to deceptively mislead believers away from biblical truth. We spoke with a highly respected apologist who shared her own personal story of escaping that confusion herself and learned how this modern teaching replaces sin and redemption with the teaching of social justice and why believers need to have a deeper view of God’s word and an elevated view of God. Once again, we turned to a friend of the program and a highly respect bible teacher as we tackled your most challenging questions related to the bible and how to live out your Christian life. The host of a popular radio show focused on the bible and the Holy Land has taken that experience and put into book form to help other believers deepen their faith by experience the land that Jesus and the people of scripture walked. He shared the powerful transformative experience that seeing these places and relating them to their scriptural passages, even from a distance, can help you grow in your faith. Hour 2: Discerning The Truth
On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we looked back at the “No Kings” marches that took place across the nation. Janet and Craig shared their observations and biblically grounded insights into this national event and who and what was the driving force behind it. Depression has become a popular topic of discussion on podcasts and programs in our society. But have you ever heard of spiritual depression? We spoke to a pastor who defined spiritual depression and what causes it. He also shared with us the 5 steps to developing a spiritually healthy life. A man who was raised in a traditional Jewish home shared the powerful story of how he came to Christ through the love and witness of his Christian girlfriend. Why is the family under attack today? How can parents protect their children from the dangerous social doctrines that are permeating our schools today? She joined us to call believers to defend our families during these concerted attacks at the foundation of our society. How do you see clearly through the fog of the confusing half-truth, deceptions and straying ideas we hear in our news daily. We do it by using the Bible as the straight stick of truth and measuring all ideas that come our way against it. Craig Parshall
Craig Parshall serves as Special Counsel to the American Center for Law and Justice on Internet, Supreme Court, and governmental issues, and is an advisor to the American Principles Project on big tech governance. He writes and speaks widely on those subjects. He has testified frequently before committees of the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives on First Amendment issues, and before the Federal Communications Commission on communication and policy matters. Mr. Parshall was the founder of the John Milton Project for Digital Free Speech during his tenure as Sr. V.P. and General Counsel for NRB, the first project of its kind to analyze the potential for viewpoint suppression on market-dominant Internet platforms.
As an appellate attorney, Craig has represented clients in constitutional, civil liberty, and media cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, most of the U.S. Courts of Appeal, and before several state supreme courts. He received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School and a B.S. degree in English, Religion, and Philosophy from Carroll College. Mr. Parshall is also a best-selling fiction writer of 13 suspense novels with story lines that highlight the intersections of law, religion, culture, and technology.
