Can we really believe what some experts say when they claim that the ever-encroaching acceptance and use of artificial intelligence is value neutral? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we had a frank discussion with a highly respected expert in the tech arena who explained why this technology is not value neutral, how AI and its precursor social media were purposely designed to become addictive and how their use can lead to a distant relationship with God. Despite the popular ideas in the media our guest, a former follower of Islam warned us about the foundational truth of Islam and how its theologically political beliefs are advanced either by word of mouth or the edge of the sword. He shared his own journey from Islam to Christ and how we can engage our Muslim neighbors with the eternal truth of salvation. A few years ago we all heard about critical race theory but many people were not aware that it was just a new variation of critical theory which found it origins in academia and spread like a virus through society. Our guest took us back in time to explain its origins and how believers can bring the life-giving truth of God to bear against this powerful deception. Our guest, an expert in this field, used her training, personal experience and biblical insight to help our listeners navigate the multi-faceted challenges of living with this most dangerous personality type. Craig Parshall
Craig Parshall serves as Special Counsel to the American Center for Law and Justice on Internet, Supreme Court, and governmental issues, and is an advisor to the American Principles Project on big tech governance. He writes and speaks widely on those subjects. He has testified frequently before committees of the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives on First Amendment issues, and before the Federal Communications Commission on communication and policy matters. Mr. Parshall was the founder of the John Milton Project for Digital Free Speech during his tenure as Sr. V.P. and General Counsel for NRB, the first project of its kind to analyze the potential for viewpoint suppression on market-dominant Internet platforms.
As an appellate attorney, Craig has represented clients in constitutional, civil liberty, and media cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, most of the U.S. Courts of Appeal, and before several state supreme courts. He received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School and a B.S. degree in English, Religion, and Philosophy from Carroll College. Mr. Parshall is also a best-selling fiction writer of 13 suspense novels with story lines that highlight the intersections of law, religion, culture, and technology.
