Timothy Paul Jones serves as professor of Christian apologetics at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, the flagship school of the Southern Baptist Convention and one of the largest seminaries in the world. Before coming to Southern Seminary, Dr. Jones led churches in Missouri and Oklahoma as a pastor and an associate pastor. He now serves as one of the pastors at the Midtown congregation of Sojourn Community Church.Dr. Jones has written widely in the fields of apologetics and family ministry. Dr. Jones holds the bachelor of arts degree in biblical studies from Manhattan Christian College. He has also earned a Master of Divinity degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and the Doctor of Philosophy degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently completing a second Ph.D. degree, in church history, at Stellenbosch University. He has taught biblical languages at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and at Oklahoma Baptist University, as well as lecturing on the reliability of the New Testament Gospels at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) at forums sponsored by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.
Wesley J. Smith is Chair and Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism. Wesley is a contributor to National Review and is the author of 14 books, in recent years focusing on human dignity, liberty, and equality. Wesley has been recognized as one of America’s premier public intellectuals on bioethics by National Journal and has been honored by the Human Life Foundation as a “Great Defender of Life” for his work against suicide and euthanasia. Wesley’s most recent book is Culture of Death: The Age of “Do Harm” Medicine, a warning about the dangers to patients of the modern bioethics movement.
Michael A. Flannery is professor emeritus of UAB libraries, University of Alabama at Birmingham. He holds degrees in library science and humanities (concentration in history) from the University of Kentucky and California State University at Dominguez Hills respectively. From 1999 until 2016 he was assistant dean of historical collections, UAB, and prior to that was the director of the Lloyd Library and Museum, Cincinnati, OH. He is a founding member of the Southern Association for the History and Medicine & Science and currently serves on the board.
