Dr. Lon Solomon will join us to share his testimony, to tell us about his work with Jews for Jesus, and to discuss his current ministry. Hear the story of a great man of faith who has influenced presidents, members of Congress, and millions through his preaching.
Hour 2: Richard Dawkins or Intelligent Design?
In 2009, famed atheist Richard Dawkins proposed a test for evolution. If Darwinism is correct, he claimed, every gene in a group of organisms will give “approximately the same tree of life.” On the other hand, if intelligent design is an accurate depiction of the origin of life, a designer would pick and choose the best proteins for the job, and genes would NOT all give the same tree of genetic resemblances. Join us as we ask Dr. Casey Luskin, a geologist, to tell us who won that challenge: Richard Dawkins or Intelligent Design?

Dr. Lon Solomon
In 1980, Dr. Lon Solomon became the senior pastor at McLean Bible Church in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. He served in that capacity until September 2017. The birth of Solomon's disabled daughter Jill led to his initiating and organizing Jill's House, a ministry to serve the needs of disabled children and their families. Solomon has been on the board of Jews for Jesus since 1987, where he now serves as chairman of the board's executive committee. In September 2002, Solomon was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve in his administration as a member of the President's Committee on Intellectual Disabilities, a position which he held until 2006.
Dr. Casey Luskin
Dr. Casey Luskin is a scientist and an attorney with graduate degrees in science and law, giving him expertise in both the scientific and legal dimensions of the debate over evolution. He holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Johannesburg where he specialized in paleomagnetism and the early plate tectonic history of South Africa. He earned a law degree from the University of San Diego, where he focused on First Amendment law, education law, and environmental law. His B.S. and M.S. degrees in Earth Sciences are from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied evolution extensively at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and conducted geological research at Scripps Institution for Oceanography. Dr. Luskin has been a California-licensed attorney since 2005, practicing primarily in the area of evolution-education in public schools and defending academic freedom for scientists who face discrimination because of their support for intelligent design (ID). In his role at Discovery Institute, Dr. Luskin works as Associate Director of the Center for Science and Culture, where he helps direct the ID 3.0 Research Program, and assists and defends scientists, educators, and students who seek to freely study, research, and teach about the scientific debate over Darwinian evolution and ID.
