Dr. Michael Rydelnik is Vice President/Academic Dean and Professor of Jewish Studies and Bible at Moody Bible Institute. For more than 30 years, Michael was program head of Jewish Studies, a unique, 103 year old, legacy major at MBI. Besides Jewish Studies, he has taught extensively in other fields, including Bible, theology, and applied theology. Rydelnik is a graduate of the Moody’s Jewish Studies program and holds a BA degree from Azusa Pacific University and a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary (New Testament Literature and Exegesis). His doctorate is from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where his dissertation research focused on the Messiah of the Hebrew Bible.  Michael is also the Host/Bible Teacher on Open Line with Dr. Michael Rydelnik, answering listener Bible questions on over 285 stations nationwide across Moody Radio. The son of Holocaust survivors, he was raised in an observant Jewish home in Brooklyn, New York. As a high school student, Michael became a follower of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah and began teaching the Bible almost immediately. Besides his work on The Moody Bible Commentary and The Moody Handbook of Messianic Prophecy as coeditor and contributor, Michael is also the author of 50 Most Important Bible QuestionsThe Messianic Hope: Is the Hebrew Bible Really Messianic?, and Understanding the Arab-Israeli Conflict. He has contributed to various study Bibles, academic journals and other books.

Dr. Hormoz Shariat is the founder of Iran Alive Ministries. He was born into a Muslim family in Iran and came to the United States after the Islamic Revolution of 1979, where he came to Christ while earning my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering as a graduate student at USC in 1980. In 1987, Hormoz planted a church in San Jose, California. With hundreds of Muslim converts, which remains one of the largest churches of its kind in the United States.
