Hour 1: Where We Put Our Hope

The Marketplace of Ideas is full of all sorts of people with all sorts of promises but can those promises stand up to the unwavering truth of God’s word? That’s the question we tackled as we kicked off this week of In The Market with Janet Parshall this week as Craig joined Janet for a special visit to address the misleading claim of a ministry leader who promises that giving to his ministry will protect the giver financially. Stress and anxiety are an increasing part of life. But our guest showed us how to step away from those burdens and find true peace by finding it in the comfort of God’s word and the joy He provides in the midst of our stormy days and nights. A porn addiction can seem like a chain that can never be broken but our guest has been called to lead God’s people into living in sexual purity and finding God’s grace and restoration despite their past struggles. She explained what it means for believers to live sexually whole lives and the biggest lies that Satan tells us about the role of sexuality in our lives. How do you move past the deep wounds and scars in your life. Our guest a respected neuropsychologist how God can transform your wounds and past failures into a powerful testimony and why that transformation requires a willingness to fully surrender to Him. As we wind down the week it is time to take a closer look at the highlights of the news of the week.

Hour 2: Where We Rest Our Faith

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week Craig made a special visit to the program to discuss with Janet a pastor who refuses to preach against sex before marriage. They used God’s word to hold up a clear, unflinching light to this message and showed how it failed to stand up to biblical scrutiny. As our nation and our world different further and further from it biblical foundations our guest a respected apologist encouraged us to continue to stand up for God’s truth in this increasingly hostile time. She showed us how to use God’s truth to effectively engage the culture around us and to defend our faith with boldness. We told you about an important program that reintroducing the Word of God to schools across the nation emphasizing the intersection of Scripture with such studies as music, art and literature. Then we heard from a woman who gave us a unique insight into the transformative activity of God in Iran in the shadow of the election of the country’s new president. She also helped us lengthen our prayer lists by encouraging us to pray for His continued work in the lives of the Iranian people. Once again Craig joins Janet for another wide –ranging, deep dive discussion on more of the important headlines of the week.
