Hour 1: Investigating The Headlines

What we are seeing on the evening news regarding the Israel –Hamas war is not the full story. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we shared the stories of Iranian believers who are praying for Israel and how the war is opening opportunities for more Jews to hear the good news about their Messiah. A pastor shared his story of discovering how God meets us the overwhelming times during our lives and how he has used that wisdom to encourage and strengthen others who face their own battles and discouragement. Out of the rubble of the Oklahoma City bombings came an unexpected relationship between the father of the bomber and one of his victims. We shared this moving story of forgiveness and friendship. A respected expert on children shared his insights on why kids misbehave and how to see the world through their eyes to help them in their growth and maturing process. Now we invite you join us as Janet and Craig examine the story behind the stories in the headlines of the week.

Hour 2: Dissecting The News

The search for significance continues to absorb the lives of people all over the world. On In The Market with Janet Parshall we heard from someone who explained that the only true way for a human to find their true value is through a living relationship with Jesus and the community of faith. Wars and rumors of war abound in the world with the United States often in the center of bullseye. Our guest a nationally respected journalist, explained the historical rise and fall of empires, why our nation may be on its last legs as a world superpower and why it is imperative for our nation to turn its heart back toward God. What is the heart of leadership and can we adopt those principals to bless and enrich the lives of others? Our guest explained how some of the biggest leaders in sports and entertainment lead those in their charge and how can incorporate those same guidelines to our own lives. The beloved children’ song “Jesus Loves Me” is full of solid Christian truth. Our guest helped us understand how to use this wisdom contained in the lyrics as doorway to share the hope of the gospel with others. The news never stops nor does the need to be able to discern it properly. Our husband and wife team invite us all to sit in their classroom as they teach us how to live with the newspaper in one hand and God’s unchanging truth in the other.
