Hour 1: Rebirth In The Belief In God

Famously described as the “long, withdrawing roar” of the “Sea of Faith,” the Christian narrative that shaped the West has been replaced by sweeping secularism. But is that the end of the story? It was a conversation with agnostic journalist Douglas Murray that led our guest to investigate whether a change was on the horizon. Speaking of the “Sea of Faith,” Murray remarked that tides come back in again and that a number of his intelligent friends had converted to Christianity in recent years. Our guest will outline the dramatic fall of New Atheism and the birth of a new conversation on whether God makes sense of science, history, culture, and the search for meaning. People are returning to Christianity—but is the church prepared to welcome a new wave of faith?

Hour 2: Hijacking Jesus

Who do you say that I am?” Jesus asks each one of us that question, and there are a lot of wrong answers out there. By exposing the phony Christs peddled by progressives, our guest will explain why the Jesus of the Bible is the one to trust. The first generation of Christians was careful to preserve what the apostles taught about their Master, collecting the inspired accounts in the New Testament. Progressive teachers and churches now offer a version of Jesus that emphasizes friendliness, acceptance, and tolerance—a version that many Christians are falling for. They don’t realize that they’ve been sold a fairy tale that is historically and biblically indefensible. Our guest will test the progressive version of Jesus against the four canonical gospels, which remain the most credible sources for Jesus’s life, teachings, miracles, death, and resurrection.
