Hour 1: The Night Is Normal
It’s unnerving, isn’t it? When our faith feels ungrounded, untethered . . . unreal. When our certainty is adrift, as though an undercurrent has pulled us away from shore into the deep, into the darkness. This is disillusionment. This is spiritual pain. This is losing hope. And if this is you—if you’re in a dark night of the soul—please know that you are not alone. (And you are not as far away from safety as you may feel or fear.) Though faith shines best in full sun, it grows depth in the dark. The night is not your enemy. In fact, the night is necessary. Our reality is broken, but God has not changed. Whether you’re disillusioned with God, yourself, or others, our guest will offer practical and soul-full tools to help you navigate the night and find your way to a livable and love-saturated hope.
Hour 2: Reluctant Witness
Research finds that Christians are less involved in spiritual conversations today than we were twenty-five years ago. As society has changed, it seems we have become more uncomfortable talking with people about our faith. We are reluctant conversationalists. The reality is that many of our churches and communities are shrinking instead of growing. What can we do about this? Our guest grew up assuming that spiritual conversations are always painful and awkward. But after falling into one spiritual conversation after another, he was surprised to discover that they aren't. Join us to discover that spiritual conversations can actually be a delight. Unpacking what God's Word says about spiritual conversations and digging into the habits of eager conversationalists, he will describe what we can learn from Christians who are still talking about their faith.

Dr. Alicia Chole is an award-winning author and international speaker, Alicia's messages have been featured on DayStar, TBN, Propel, Christianity Today, Guideposts, Faith Gateway, and Chicken Soup for the Soul. Often described as a captivating communicator, Alicia speaks, writes, mentors, and serves as the founding director of Leadership Investment Intensives, Inc, a non-profit devoted to providing personal soul-care to leaders in the marketplace and church. Her book, Anonymous: Jesus' Hidden Years and Yours, is highly regarded by leaders and learners around the globe. Alicia holds a B.A. in Plan II pre-law (1983) and an M.A. in Education (1994) from the University of Texas-Austin and a DMin in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from George Fox Evangelical Seminary (2015).
Don Everts-
Don Everts is reluctant to call himself an evangelist, but for decades he has found himself talking about Jesus with all sorts of skeptical and curious people. He is a writer for Lutheran Hour Ministries and associate pastor at Bonhomme Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Missouri. He has also been a speaker and trainer for Alpha and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. His many books include Jesus with Dirty Feet, I Once Was Lost, and Breaking the Huddle.
