Bill and Susan Wilkinson spent all their life in Northeast Ohio. They like to say "Sometimes God calls the least likely people." That’s how they felt when God turned their hearts to Alaska. He called them to have a place in Homer, Alaska, for pastor and missionary families to relax, refresh and renew. Although they had never heard of such a thing they began to seek wise counsel and take steps in that direction and wait for Gods confirmation.
After coming to Alaska they found and contacted Arctic Barnabas Ministries and were excited to come on staff in 2013 after Bill retired early. Since then they have hosted over 900 people at Light On The Hill Alaska in Homer. All at no charge to their guests thanks to God bringing some wonderful ministry supporters alongside them. Today they work with a network of 7 bed and breakfasts and cabin owners in Homer to provide that place to rest, refresh and renew time for pastor and missionary families serving in remote Alaska and the Canadian Yukon.
