Bruce Overstreet accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a high school freshman, a turning point that transformed his once rebellious and unmotivated life. He became more thankful, started making better choices, and even saw his grades improve. Sensing God's call to pastoral ministry in high school, Bruce attended Butler University, where he met his wife, Sheryl, through Campus Crusade for Christ. Together, they've served nearly 50 years in Christian ministry, over 40 of those as pastor and wife. Bruce earned his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and later completed his Doctor of Ministry at Denver Seminary, crediting God's grace for making it all possible. He served in various pastoral roles with the Christian & Missionary Alliance, including church planting, discipleship, and 21 years as senior pastor at North Country Alliance Church in Plattsburgh, N.Y. His most recent full-time role was as Lead Pastor at Pine Glen Alliance Church in Penn. Since 2018, Bruce has worked with Interim Pastor Ministries (IPM), helping guide churches through pastoral transitions. He has served IPM churches in North Dakota, Colorado, and Virginia. He has also participated in short-term ministry in Kenya, Liberia, and Mali. Outside of ministry, Bruce enjoys cycling and once rode solo across the U.S. to raise funds for a hospital in Mali. He and Sheryl have four adult children and eight grandchildren.
