Barbara Woods is a woman of God, who believes and teaches His Word. She is a precept teacher and has served as a missionary to Uganda as well as Haiti, Suriname, and Jerusalem. She is a motivational speaker who considers what she does as a ministry, as her responsibilities include motivating others with spiritual counseling.
Her many credentials include Certificates in Christian Counseling from Henegar Counseling Center (formerly Chattanooga Bible Institute), and Carver Bible Institute with hours toward a Certificate in Theology at Chattanooga Resource Foundation Leadership Development.
Endearingly known as “Sister Woods”, Barbara has served as chaplain with the Market Place Ministries out of Dallas, Texas and the Pilgrim’s Pride Poultry Plant in Chattanooga. She has a certificate from Memorial Hospital for Cancer Residency for Clergy. She applies her human resource counseling in the communities she serves. Barbara is also active on several boards including the Bethlehem Community Center and the Southside Regional Health for Communities Board where she serves as a health counselor.
Barbara was a graduate of Chattanooga Resource Foundation Leadership Development as well as Bellsouth where she retired with a Certificate of Management. Her “Motivational Testimony” as a 30-year breast cancer survivor has reached many audiences as she shares her belief in the power of healing.
Barbara has been a widow since 2016 after 49 years of marriage. She currently serves as a marriage counselor, has two adult children, and is knowledgeable about the human aspect of having children and their dilemmas.
