Today we’re looking at what Jesus did for the paralyzed man in Mark chapter 2.  What did the man think that he needed most?  Healing in his body.  What did Jesus know he needed most?  Forgiveness in his soul.  Based on this, Pastor Ford will remind us just how important our spiritual healing is to our Savior.

When we’re committed to Jesus, we need to have a commitment that’s three dimensional—first to the person of Christ, then to the proclamation of the gospel, then to participation in what He has called us to do and gifted us for.

When we consider what the Lord Jesus did for us, we see the magnitude of it—He paid for the sins of the world.  We see the magnificence of it—we were enemies and while we were yet sinners, He died for us.  The majesty of it—the Creator died for the creature.  And the mystery of it—why would someone so...

Who do you look to when you have a situation, when you have a problem?  Do you look to your intellect? Do you look to your Pastor or your church? Do you look to your bank account?  Do you look to your friends or your family?  Or do you look to Jesus?  Pastor Ford will share with us why there’s no reason for us to look to anyone or anything...

Scripture says that our God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  And that’s a promise we can count on!  Pastor Ford will remind us that God is not going to let us out give Him.  When we use our resources for His purposes, then God increases His provisions and gives us more resources.

God gives us money for several reasons.  And as we begin today to look at those reasons, Pastor Ford will help us understand that God doesn’t always give to us directly what He wants us to have.  Instead, sometimes He uses His power in certain ways so powerful people will use their power and provision to invest in the lives of believers.

As followers of Jesus, we sometimes attach the ideas of poverty and spirituality to each other. But today, Pastor Ford will help us understand that those two descriptions aren’t synonomous and they don’t belong together. He explains that his job is to separate those two terms for us.
