Hour 1: Building Collapse Response: A Conversation with Patty Mixdorf

If you are wondering how you can help those impacted by the recent collapse of a Davenport Apartment Building, you may want to begin with the Salvation Army. Patty Mixdorf with the Salvation Army will be with Ken and Deb to fill us in on what is available through the Salvation Army and how they are available to point people to where to find the assistance that they are needing at this crucial time.

Hour 2: Ministry at Building Collapse Site: A Conversation with Pastors Ed Hedding and Brian Bill

We've seen the physical devastation of the recent building collapse in Davenport, but what about the trauma and pain of feeling helpless when loved ones are missing or hurt and there seems to be nothing we can do to help? Pastors Brian Bill and Ed Hedding spent their day yesterday hearing stories and praying with people on site of the building collapse, and they joined Ken and Deb Wednesday to share about their experiences and how we can come alongside the hurting in our community.

Hour 3: The City Church Building Collapse Response: A Conversation with Neil McReynolds

The building collapse this past weekend in Davenport has left several members of The City Church without their homes, and this morning we visited with Pastor Neil McReynolds about how their church is mobilizing to help. Pastor McReynolds shared how their congregation is reaching out to their neighborhood and how they plan on connecting needed items to those in need in the near future on their Facebook page.

Hour 4: The Grace Marriage: A Conversation with Brad and Marilyn Rhoads

How does the Gospel transform your marriage? Why is it that spouses don't often consider the condition of their marriage until there is trouble? Brad and Marilyn Rhoads have been confronted with some intense marital challenges and offer hope for marriages and the role of grace in the transformation. Don't wait another day to be intentional in choosing and building a grace marriage!

Brad and Marilyn Rhoads

Brad and Marilyn Rhoads founded Grace Marriage in 2015 to help churches and couples prioritize marriage. Prior to this, Brad was a practicing attorney for 22 years. He served as a marriage pastor at their local church, where he noted the nationwide absence of an intentional, ongoing strategy to keep couples on a trajectory of growth. Marilyn holds a masters in social work and worked at Counseling Associates before choosing to stay home with their children. In 2015, Brad left the practice of law to pursue marriage ministry full-time. The Rhoads currently lead Grace Marriage, author curriculum together, speak at conferences, and work with individual couples. They are the proud parents of five amazing kids and live in Owensboro, Kentucky.
