On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author Naghmeh Abedini Panahi joins us to share some of her story. It vividly describes the Islamic upbringing that shaped her, her unexpected conversion to Christianity, and the events that led to her marriage to Saeed Abedini. Through the pain, abuse, and loss, Naghmeh clearly demonstrates what it means for us to find our true identity in God and discover the protective care God has for His children.
Chris Martin is a content marketing editor at Moody Publishers and a social media, marketing, and communications consultant. He writes regularly in his Substack newsletter, Terms of Service, and author of Terms of Service: The Real Cost of Social Media (B&H, 2022). Chris lives outside Nashville with his wife, Susie, their daughter, Magnolia, and their dog, Rizzo.
Naghmeh Abedini Panahi is a speaker, Bible teacher, cofounder and executive director of Tahir Alnisa (“Setting Women Free”) Foundation, which serves women and children around the world impacted by domestic abuse. Naghmeh made national news when she publicly advocated for the release of her then husband, Saeed Abedini, who was imprisoned in Iran for his Christian faith. Naghmeh’s story is a story of God saving an ordinary immigrant Muslim girl from Iran and using her to proclaim His Gospel before kings. It is a story of persecution, abuse, unwanted divorce, and God’s amazing grace through it all.
