Hour 1: No Greater Love: A Biblical Vision for Friendship - with Rebecca McLaughlin
Jesus said there was no greater love than sacrificial friendship love. What's more, Christian friendship isn't just a nice-to-have. It's vital. But it's also dangerous. Friends can pull us up when we're knocked down, embrace us with their love, grind us to the ground, exploit, or invite us into sin. Tuesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author Rebecca McLaughlin focuses especially on Jesus in the Gospels and on Paul to show how powerful and precious Christian friendship is and how we can walk through the hurt, loss, and disillusionment that comes from broken friendship trust and learn how to love each other just how Christ loves us.

The nation of Israel--and the world--is reeling from the gruesome Hamas terror attack. Throughout its history, Israel has been threatened with annihilation, and we all remember the story of David and Goliath, where God proved that He can defeat any giant in our world when we believe in Him. On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, licensed professional counselor, Marti Wibbels tells us that because our God is still alive, we can manage challenging emotions such as anxiety, fear, or depression. Instead of being engulfed in panic, each of us can choose five smooth stones to confidently, boldly, face our giants.

Rebecca McLaughlin
Rebecca McLaughlin holds a PhD in Renaissance Literature from Cambridge University and a theology degree from Oak Hill College in London. Her first book, Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World’s Largest Religion, was named book of the year by Christianity Today. Her subsequent books include Exploring the Earliest Gospel, The Secular Creed: Engaging 5 Contemporary Claims, 10 Questions Every Teen Should Ask (and Answer) about Christianity, and Is Christmas Unbelievable?: Four Questions Everyone Should Ask about the World’s Most Famous Story. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her husband, three children, and church family.
Marti Wibbels
Marti Wibbels, MS, LMHC, is a psychotherapist in private practice at Palm Beach Counseling and Life Coaching in South Florida. She is a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor, member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and of the South Florida Association of Christian Counselors. A Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Marti's work integrates Scripture with proven counseling methods. She is author of the counseling workbook, Core Healing from Trauma and two novels, Secrets Behind the Door and Sound of Light. She and her husband, Alan were blessed with three daughters and with precious grandchildren and enjoy spending time with their family.
