Hour 1: The Toxic War on Masculinity - with Nancy Pearcey

How did an ideology arise that condemns masculinity as dangerous and destructive? How did masculinity become toxic and how can we fix it? We often hear that Exhibit A of toxic behavior is evangelical Christian men. But the social sciences tell a very different story. Studies find that family men who attend church regularly test out as the most loving husbands and the most engaged fathers. On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author Nancy Pearcey takes readers on a fascinating journey through American history to discover how the secular script for masculinity turned toxic--and what action we can take to fix it.

Hour 2: To Be A Woman - with Katie J. McCoy

We live in a cultural moment where the definition of “woman” eludes the keenest of thinkers and brightest of scientists, where one’s biological sex and one’s gender are divorced, where the meaning of gender itself is a constantly moving target, and where girls and women, especially, struggle to know who they are. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author Katie McCoy covers important topics in her book, To Be A Woman, such as why as a culture, we've arrived in such a place of gender confusion and ways to respond in a Christlike way to loved ones struggling with gender identity.
