On Thursday’s Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Ryan Smith, Social Media Specialist and Afternoon Announcer at Moody Radio South Florida joins us to talk about how we need to know the true gospel so we can identify false “gospels” and grasp how the truth applies to our lives. As we seek to believe and proclaim the true gospel, Ryan points us to “Seven Counterfeit Gospels” about sin, Jesus, and faith that Colin Smith from Open the Bible describes.
Beware These Seven Counterfeit Gospels
School is out, and many parents are eager to find ways to keep their children healthy and active. While it's tempting to allow summer to be a free-for-all with unlimited access to devices, television, video games and junk food, excessive screen time and unhealthy food can have negative effects on kids’ mental and physical health. On Thursday’s Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, licensed counselor at Focus on the Family, Joannie DeBrito offers practical tips for nurturing physical and mental well-being in our children over the summer break.
Ryan and his bride Amanda are from Northwest Indiana and have 2 children. Ryan joined the WRMB team in 2021 where he serves as Afternoon Announcer and Social Media Specialist. He has a B.A. in Apparel Merchandising from Indiana University and MDiv in Ministry Leadership from Moody Theological Seminary. Ryan has experience serving with Moody Radio's Praise and Worship Channel and currently serves on staff with Calvary Chapel Boynton Beach.
Joannie DeBrito draws from more than 30 years of diverse experience as a parent educator, family life educator, school social worker, administrator, and licensed mental health professional. Joannie is a regular contributor to Focus on the Family. She is also co-founder and creator of Focus' Alive to Thrive program, a biblical guide to preventing teen suicide.
