Today we visit with a guest who will provide fresh light on biblical principles for civil government and the citizenship duty all Christians have in the communities in which they live. These principles are extracted empirically from the Bible, showing how they informed the actions of the founders in 1776, thus establishing our national covenant. The simple, yet critical blueprint they followed is described—the same blueprint needed today to restore America’s founding principles. We will answer the questions: Is active citizenship a part of the Christian faith? Did this duty inform the actions of the founders as they codified and declared our American national covenant? Is there a way to restore our local communities and America to a God honoring nation? Don’t miss this timely and biblical conversation.
It’s now known that the emotional and relational pain we’ve lived through has a profound negative physical effect on our bodies. What we do with our bodies can have a dramatic positive effect on our emotions, relationships, and our connection with God. Too often, people of faith are taught to ignore, avoid, or forget our bodies, but our guest will remind us that God calls our bodies good and cares about our pain. Offering a variety of physical and spiritual practices as well as stories from her own journey, she will walk us through steps for metabolizing personal pain and show us how understanding the mind/body/soul connection can help us make healthier choices.
