Ed Stetzer talks with Joni Eareckson Tada about the lessons she's learned from the suffering she's endured in her life and the peace she's experienced through her pain, just living in the presence of Jesus.

Joni Eareckson Tada
A diving accident left Joni Eareckson Tada a quadriplegic in a wheelchair at seventeen years old. She emerged from rehabilitation with a determination to help others in similar situations. In 1979, she founded Joni and Friends, a ministry committed to showcasing the gospel to people living with disability. Joni has written more than 45 books, including her latest—The Practice of the Presence of Jesus. Joni is also a radio host and fine art painter.

Ed Stetzer, Ph.D., is Dean of the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. He has planted, revitalized, and pastored churches; trained pastors and church planters on six continents; earned two master’s degrees and two doctorates; and he has written hundreds of articles and a dozen books. He is Regional Director for Lausanne North America, is the Editor-in-Chief of Outreach Magazine, and regularly writes for news outlets such as USA Today and CNN. He serves at his local church, Highpoint Church, as a teaching pastor. Ed and his wife Donna have been married for more than 35 years and are the parents of three daughters.
