All of these elements fall under the fourth tenet of Hygge: Atmosphere. This can make us wonder: how can we, as Christians, create an atmosphere that is worthy of Kingdom hospitality? In this episode of Holy Hygge, Jamie Erickson sits down with author, blogger, and interior stylist Sarah Symonds to chat all things atmosphere, and how we can create a home that reflects the inner life of those who know the presence of God.

Holy Hygge

"Hygge" (pronounced Hyoo-Guh) is a concept derived from Danish culture dating back generations. It is comprised of several major tenets including hospitality, atmosphere, well-being, and comfort (just to name a few). Independently, Hygge is not a "religious" or "Biblical" concept, but it prompts the question: can Hygge be implemented in a Biblical way? Can a concept like Hygge be set apart, or "made Holy." Author and speaker Jamie Erickson would argue, YES! In this limited series podcast, Jamie and a guest will walk through 7 of the core tenets of Hygge: what they are, how listeners can practically implement them in their homes, and most importantly, how each concept can inform the Christian life.
