Hour 1: Fortified by Truth

The most dangerous personality type can leave a damaging and long lasting impact on the lives of those closest to them. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we once again opened up our phone lines and allowed our expert to offer her unique combination of professional advice and biblical clarity to help navigate this most challenging family dynamic. Ideas morph and grow over time, even bad ones. We heard from a legal expert who explained that despite the ample historical evidence of its failure, Marxism is sadly still alive and well. He explained how it has changed over time and how the halls of higher education were turned into indoctrination laboratories. He also explained how the new generation of Marxist are turning sex warfare, class and gender into their rallying cries to deceive people into buying into the Marxist philosophy and the danger facing our nation if we don’t cut out this deadly infection. Idolatry is not an idea trapped in ancient history. Although we may not bow down before giant statutes we often bow our hearts before ideas and concepts that can damage us and pull our affections away from the God who loves us. We offered practical guidance on recognizing the idols in our lives and how to turn back to the eternal lover of our souls. The push for renewable energy never sounds like a bad idea. But as our experts explained behind those blazing neon lights the science does not add up. They explained how the drive by some to solely rely on solar, wind and other renewable energy sources is and will continue to damage our nation and our world and why we must not abandon the proven resources that we have relied on for generations like fossil fuels, hydro-electricity and nuclear energy. Class is in session as once again our favorite husband and wife teachers show us how to use God’s word and wisdom to observe, understand and address some of the biggest news events of the past week.

Hour 2: Grounded by Facts

Since we all know that “nobody is perfect” why do so many of us strive so hard to be so? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we addressed the drive for perfection even in the good things of God and how to lean into His grace instead being bound by rules and systems that debilitate our lives and prevent us from living lives that line up with His plans for us. Have you ever felt like your spiritual armor is sitting in a pile at your feet and you don’t have the slightest clue what to do with it? If so, you are not alone! Our expert on spiritual warfare taught us not only how to put that armor on but how to walk victoriously in it by sharing God’s wisdom and his own experience standing in Christ’s victory while confronting the dark forces of the supernatural world. When we struggle with anxiety or other issues our first thought is often to find a way to get rid of it. Sometimes we even question God’s love and power for not taking this challenge out of our lives. But is it possible that anxiety and pain in life could have a higher, God designed purpose for us? We shared the insights of a teacher who took us deep into the Scriptures to help us understand that God has a purpose in all things, even our anxiety and pain. He helped us reframe our understanding so that we can discover a greater, deeper bond with the Lord who loves us. The Christian faith is under attack like it has never been before and believers are often always on the defensive struggling to answer the pointed and often painful questions of skeptics and accusers. We turned to a respected bible teacher who used his own story of confusion and skepticism and the lessons he learned, as template to guide us as we navigate these perilous waters in our lives and relationships. How do parents help their kids navigate days and times that they themselves never imagined and faced? Join Janet and Craig as they teach parents and all of us how to examine the wares being sold in today’s marketplace of ideas against God’s unbending, eternally reliable straight stick of truth.
