In 1981, a group called Echo Broadcasting was formed for the purpose of bringing Moody Radio to West Michigan. This dream was fulfilled on Jan. 22, 1989, when WXYB 89.3 FM signed on the air.
A local morning show was added in September 1989, and on March 1, 1991, WXYB became WGNB as the station transferred ownership from Echo Broadcasting to Moody Bible Institute.
While there have been many changes in programming and personnel over the years, Moody Radio continues to proclaim the Word of God and encourage listeners to take the next step in their journey with Jesus Christ.
