The people we read about in Hebrews 11 had their faith “pinned down.” In other words, they didn’t have a faith that did not trust God when things looked like they weren’t going to go the way that they wanted them to go. Learn more about this on today’s Treasured Truth.

Many of us become frustrated and defeated—ready to give up, give in, and go back, rather than to go on—simply because things did not go our way. We believed that it was going to happen a certain way, and it didn’t. So now, we’re ready to go back to where we know God does not want us to be.

When things don’t go our way, we should quit looking around us and start looking ahead.  We may find ourselves in the midst of a mess, but if we look ahead, we can be reminded of how God is going to take us where He plans for us to be.

God’s provision sometimes requires us to move out, without knowing what’s ahead. But if we trust God fully, we know His provision will come to fruition even if we can’t see right now what it is or how it will happen.
