Many of us become frustrated and defeated—ready to give up, give in, and go back, rather than to go on—simply because things did not go our way. We believed that it was going to happen a certain way, and it didn’t. So now, we’re ready to go back to where we know God does not want us to be.

When things don’t go our way, we should quit looking around us and start looking ahead.  We may find ourselves in the midst of a mess, but if we look ahead, we can be reminded of how God is going to take us where He plans for us to be.

God has a reason for everything He does.  When He answers our prayers with, “Wait,” we should trust Him.  He knows that if He gives us what we’re asking for, our state of readiness in terms of our maturity can’t handle what we want to receive.  So for our own good, we must wait.

God has various reasons for having us wait for answers to our prayers. One of them is to bless others while blessing you. But sometimes that may require a delayed answer for us. Learn more about this on today’s Treasured Truth.
