When we face problems and pain in life, we need to understand that what we’re going through is for the future that we’re going to. That struggle is a part of making us who we’re going to become and it is designed to accomplish God’s purpose for our lives.

As we wrap up our study in Hebrews 4 today, Pastor Ford will continue to explain Who it is that we serve. Hebrews identifies Jesus as the Great High Priest and we’ll hear some practical application related to what the means for each of us as believers.

Suffering always has significance. God allows us to go through what we’re going through to develop in us something that is lacking in our character and to strengthen our walk with Him. And when we endure suffering, that’s when we find that we become more mature spiritually.

We need to remember that God can do with us whatever, whenever, wherever, and however He pleases.  And guess what—He’s not going to ask our permission to conform us to the image of Jesus Christ.  However, sometimes the best way He is able to do just that is through our suffering.
