Pastor Ford explains that we typically want what the people in Hebrews 11 had, but we don’t necessarily want to do what they did. And if you want what they had, then you have to do what they did. So, what did they do? They believed God fully by faith in His Word.

Do you have flood faith? Do you have the kind of faith that allows you to believe whenever your storm comes—whenever the water is drenching you and you feel like you’re going to drown—you’re still trusting God? And even though you’ve gone under for the second time, you know that He’s going to save you.

Waiting by faith doesn’t mean you’re sitting in some place or you’re standing still. Rather, because you are waiting by faith, it means you’re making progress, spiritually speaking, even in the midst of what you’re going through.

Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, does the impossible and accepts the intangible. We can trust God even though we can’t see Him because He has revealed Himself to us in His word, through creation, and all that He’s done for us.
