Dr. Donald S. Whitney is professor of Biblical Spirituality and Associate Dean of the School of Theology at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.  Dr. Whitney came to Southern from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he was associate professor of spiritual formation for 10 years. He has authored six books, including Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life, and is a popular conference speaker, especially on personal and congregational spirituality. He served in pastoral ministry for 24 years.

Chris Brooks

Chris Brooks is the Teaching Pastor of Woodside Bible Church, a multisite congregation across the metro-Detroit area.    Chris served for 20 years as the Senior Pastor of Evangel Ministries, a thriving 1600-member church in the heart of Detroit. He also served as the campus dean of Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan. A popular Detroit radio host since 2005, Chris is author of Kingdom Dreaming and Urban Apologetics. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Finance, completed his MA in Christian Apologetics at Biola University, and graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He is currently pursuing a DMin degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Yodit, are the proud parents of Christopher, Zewditu, Cameron, Judah, and Sophia.
