A Celebration of Special Programs for the Easter Season

What if the events of Holy Week took place in front of today’s cameras and microphones? Imagine a recording of the throngs cheering Christ’s Jerusalem entrance. Or a reporter embedded in the mob outside Pilate’s Hall. That’s the premise of Moody Radio’s Easter special, A Stirring in Jerusalem.

Just in time for Holy Week, these 14 one-minute features (two per day throughout Holy Week) take us back to the biblical story we know as Holy Week.

You know the story of Easter … but what about the songs of Easter? In Celebration of the Risen King, you’ll visit with Bill and Gloria Gaither and learn the story behind the story of Because He Lives. Plus, we’ll invite you in on conversations with Michael Card, Steve Green and LarnelleHarris and how their travels through Israel inspired their thoughts about Easter. Then, we’ll wrap up with modern hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty as they take you inside their music making. It’s the story of Easter … through the music of Easter.

For many Christians, Gethsemane is a brief rest stop on the way to the main story — the cross. But there are critical questions that demand explanation. What is the real truth about Jesus’ sweating “as it were drops of blood?” When Jesus prayed, “Not my will but thine be done” exactly what did He want us to learn? The answers to these questions and more are revealed through Secrets from the Garden, a Moody Radio Easter Program.
