Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme, "What are you looking for?" Lana Silk joined us to share what is happening in Iran during the possible peace negotiations, including the regime’s economic pressure, increased crackdowns, and persecution of Christians. Lana is the President and CEO of Transform Iran, with over 20 years of marketing experience and a passion for helping voices be heard. Born in Iran and educated in the UK, she has also served in ministry as a worship leader and college chaplain with a focus on youth and mental health. Later, Pastor Corey Brooks joined us to share how Project H.O.O.D. is bringing hope and opportunity to Chicago’s southside communities through mentorship, discipleship, education, and the new Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center. Corey is the Founder and Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Church of Chicago and the Founder and CEO of Project H.O.O.D. Communities Development Corporation. He is a visionary church planter known as the “Roof-Top Pastor” and is passionate about leadership and the development of urban ministry. We then turned to the phone lines to hear from our listeners. We asked the question, “What were you looking for that you thought would finally satisfy you, and when it didn't, What did Jesus show you instead?"
