The Life of D.L. Moody with Phil Shappard & Unleashing the Power of God in Our Lives with Dr. Tony Evans

Today, on Karl and Crew, we kicked off our Founder’s Week with Phil Shappard as he joined us to talk about the origin story of the founder of Moody Bible Institute, D.L. Moody, and the history of the institute. Phil served as National Operations Manager of Moody Radio for 30 years and is now retired. He is also a Moody Audio Archive Expert. He is currently working on the upcoming project, “100 Years of Moody Radio,” with coauthor Kevin Mungons of Moody Publishers. Dr. Tony Evans also joined us to discuss how to unleash God’s power in our lives. Dr. Evans is a pastor, best-selling author, and frequent speaker at Bible conferences and seminars throughout the nation. He is the founding pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas and is the president of The Urban Alternative. He has also authored several books, including “Unleashed-Releasing God’s Glorious Kingdom In and Through You.” We then turned to the phone lines to ask listeners the question, “What is the message God used to change your life?” We were also joined by Dr. Mark Jobe, Moody Bible Institute (MBI) President, to talk about Founders Week”, a week of Bible teaching and a time of worship for MBI.
