The Power of the Cross with Dr. Bill Thrasher & The Story of the Thief on the Cross with Colin Smith

Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme, “Holy Week,” by reflecting on the hope we have in Christ and the power of the cross in our everyday lives. Colin Smith joined us to discuss how Easter reveals our need for a Savior and the grace of salvation through faith in Jesus. Colin is Senior Pastor Emeritus of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church. He is also the founder and teacher of the daily radio program “Open the Bible,” which airs weekday mornings on Moody Radio at 9:00 a.m. CT. He is the author of many books, including “Heaven, How I Got Here: The Story of the Thief on the Cross.” Dr. Bill Thrasher also joined us to discuss how to intentionally grow closer to God during Easter by understanding the power of the cross and living honestly before Him. Dr. Thrasher has served on the faculty of Moody Bible Institute since 1980 and is the Lead Professor in the master’s program in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship at MBI. He is also a frequent speaker across the country and the author of several books, including “A Journey to Victorious Praying: Finding Discipline and Delight in Your Prayer Life.” We then turned to the phone lines to hear from our listeners.
