Good News!

A sign that says "Good News is Coming" taped to a tree.

”No matter how dark your condition or circumstances, there is hope for you to experience the regenerating power of God in your life.”

—Mark Jobe

THIS WEEK’S BOLD STEP DEVOTION

Popular children’s book, Good News, Bad News by Jeff Mack is a simple story about a rabbit and a mouse. The good news is that they decide to go on a picnic together. The bad news is that it starts to rain. The good news is that rabbit has an umbrella. The bad news is that a storm blows the umbrella and mouse into a tree.

Life can be that way sometimes. Everything could be going well and then you get hit with a bad diagnosis or let go from your job. The bad news is that none of us really knows what the future holds which can easily throw us into despair. But… there’s good news, and it changes everything.

We’ve all been touched by guilt, sickness, death, and despair at some point in our lives which confirms the bad news that we live in a fallen world where evil is very real. This tragic reality is the consequence of Adam and Eve’s choice to disobey God (sin) which caused eternal separation from Him. Pain, sin, and death have been passed down through humanity with mankind having no way to right the wrong of sin. In our hopeless state, God provided the greatest rescue plan in His Son, Jesus.

The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus Christ, though sinless on his own, died for your sin and mine on the cross. As a result, forgiveness and wholeness are made available to us through Him. Our fractured world won’t aways be the broken place it is today. God is busy ‘renovating’ it and us through Christ.

Friend, do you desire hope, peace, joy, and life abundantly? God promises these to each of us who choose to trust Him, repent, and turn from their sin. A restored relationship with God is life-changing and can begin today! Take a bold step of faith when you click the link below.

Ministry Update from Mark

I was very moved by a comment we received from a listener in Mozambique who listens to Bold Steps through our partnership with the Far East Broadcasting Company. As our team heads into a new season of ministry, its comments like this that keep us inspired and motivated to produce more programs that give life to the world:

Hallo! I am one of your listeners here in Lichinga where many of us do listen to your favourite programme of the Bold Steps, which many do love for it has changed many lives including myself. Before I used to believe in witchcraft and now I am no longer practicing this since I have heard the Word of God over Litala FM more especially to the Bold Steps, programme… many of my friends hate me because I have decided to listen to Litala FM. Therefore, I urge you to continue giving us more programmes for it gives life. Yours listener, Balakasi Amini, Lichinga, Mozambique.

Please join us in prayer for this listener that he would continue to glean truths from the Scriptures through this program that would transform his life and others around him!
