Focal PointCelebrating 50 Years of Ministry, 88.9 Moody Radio is making a generational investment in WMBW’s local ministry in the Tennessee Valley. The cornerstone of this investment is a new FM transmitter for the station. A state-of-the-art Nautel model GV40 replaces an older model that has faithfully served us for 30 years.
Station Manager Brent Manion reflects, “We praise God for the service life of our current transmitter that has served Moody Radio on the air for three decades. However, due to its age, parts are no longer available. In recent years, our engineers have kept it running by borrowing spare parts from other retired transmitters or building their own when necessary.” He adds, “We’re so grateful for the opportunity, in our 50th year of ministry, to invest in a brand-new, state-of-the-art transmitter that will keep WMBW strong on the air for the next generation.”
This new transmitter not only allows Moody Radio to continue broadcasting on 88.9 FM as we have since 1973 but also enables us to offer four new channels in crystal clear HD radio. Thanks to our listeners’ support, these new channels are available at no cost to anyone in the Tennessee Valley with an HD radio.
Here are 88.9 WMBW’s new HD channels:
