Dr. Crawford Loritts speaks about overcoming anxiety. In this first part of the message he defines anxiety and explains its effect on us.  He concludes by highlighting four commitments Jesus calls us to.  Those will be developed in detail in the second half of the message next week.

Today we read the account of the disciples and Jesus experiencing the storm at sea. This literal event is also a portrait of what the Christian life is all about and how God Himself develops us. We’ll learn that faith cannot exist without uncertainty, adversity, and crisis.

Dr. Crawford Loritts takes us to Jesus closing thoughts expressed in the Sermon on the Mount.  As we come to the high point of the last two paragraphs, Jesus is calling for a decision or choice. What will you build your life upon?
