Sunday Praise

Welcome to Sunday Praise! This is Jon Hemmer. It’s a privilege to be able to spend some time with you every Sunday morning. Here’s a little about myself. Let’s see... I was born in the Chicago area in the Northern Suburbs. I’ve basically lived in that area all my life. I love this area—yes, the winters can be brutal, but I can’t imagine living anywhere else! I'll add, we do have some of my favorite food.

I’ve been a believer basically all my life and grew up listening to Moody Radio. I even remember coming down to Moody for the “Friday Night Sings” when I was younger. Little did I know that the Lord had this amazing plan of bringing me here to serve!

I’ve been on Chicago Radio for over 26 years, with more than 16 of those years at Moody Radio, and I absolutely love it. What an amazing opportunity it is to be used by the Lord in this capacity. It is never lost on me that I get to do what I love every single day.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11: “'For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'”.
