Hour 1: Alzheimer's Caregiving Support Group: A Conversation with Marcy Konkousonh

It's a sobering statistic that 40% of caregivers die before the one to whom they are giving care. The stress for those who care for their husband, wife, or parents with Alzheimer's or dementia can be overwhelming with little time left to care for oneself.  Marcy Konkousohn has personal experience with this journey and she began an Alzheimer's Caregiving Support group to both educate and provide support for caregivers. Marcy will be sharing about her group that meets at Edgewood Baptist Church and will offer a challenge to area churches to consider beginning a support group for those caring for family members with dementia or Alzheimer's.
